Artist Statement
In my practice, I embrace the freedom to experiment with diverse materials, driven by my curiosity and a commitment to exploring the limitless possibilities of artistic expression. My creative journey reflects a deep belief in art’s essential role in education, particularly how it intersects with and enhances understanding of other academic subjects. Through my creations, I aim to illuminate how artistic exploration not only reinforces these disciplines but also nurtures innovative problem-solving skills.
In my ceramic work, I draw inspiration from vintage aesthetics, I incorporate floral imagery and patterns, which play into the paradox of nature versus structure. My pieces reflect a desire to embrace freedom and flow, while also being constrained by the need for careful planning and precision. This tension is expressed through a mix of organic and geometric forms, often featuring organic repetitive carvings and sharp, angular patterns.

In my graphic design, I channel mid-century modern influences, selecting vintage fonts and color palettes that evoke the earthy, muted tones of the 1950s to 1970s. Much of my design inspiration comes from objects I encounter in thrift stores, where I find a deep appreciation for the beauty of old things and their timeless charm. Whether in ceramics or graphic design, my work explores the delicate balance between spontaneity and structure,
